Key Findings
IEA accreditation isn't everything
Only 7 of the 15 programs we reviewed carry IEA accreditation. But several non-accredited programs (Russ Hudson's School of Awakening, Naranjo tradition) offer depth that surpasses many accredited options. Accreditation matters most for corporate clients.
Price doesn't always equal quality
The most expensive programs ($5,000+) aren't necessarily the best for everyone. A $1,950 online certification from Integrative Enneagram Solutions (iEQ9) offers IEA accreditation and a powerful assessment tool — excellent value.
Online programs have caught up
Post-2020, the gap between online and in-person programs has narrowed significantly. Programs like Chestnut Paes Academy and iEQ9 deliver world-class training entirely online with live interactive components.
Beware of 'certification' inflation
Some programs costing $199–$500 call themselves 'certifications' but offer less than 20 hours of content with no supervised practice. These are workshops, not certifications. Know what you're getting before you pay.
